Okay, now for those of you who actually know me as a friend in real life or what not, you should know that yesterday, on Saturday September 12th 2009, I went to a Killers concert! HECK YEAH! It was AMAZING! Shoreline Amphitheater, first section, row Q, perfect view of EVERYTHING! The opening bands were The Nervous Wreckords and The New York Dolls. We also had backstage passes, so after each band played, we'd move back stage and see who we could meet up with. We chatted with the two female members of The Nervous Wreckords and got a picture with them. Then, we moved over the had a long talk about music with one of the guitarists from The New York Dolls, Steve Conte, Who graciously gave both me and my friend guitar picks (Which they had used! I got the Fender Heavy used by the bassist because, well, I play bass!) and then gave us a copy of a CD from his other band. Awesome right?! And then of course, The Killers sounded AMAZING! The lighting was some of the best I've ever seen and the screaming for their encore was almost as loud as their music itself! Plus the blasting confetti at the end, Totally awesome! (And after the show, we gawked as they stood like, 5 feet away from us and chatted to themselves about the show- THAT was cool!) Anyway, I had an amazing time and I hope to see more concerts soon!
